Along the Biała Przemsza
The Biała Przemsza is one of the last remaining pockets of wilderness in the heavily urbanized eastern part of the Silesian Voivodeship. It winds through dense forests, largely avoiding built-up areas. Yet the landscape it crosses has a rich industrial past, shaped mainly by the mining of silver, zinc, sand, and hard coal. The river is popular with kayakers, offering a challenging route that can be demanding and, in some sections, even dangerous. It also attracts anglers, as its waters are still home to cautious, wild trout.
