Terms of Service
Effective 21 October 2026.
Operator and service
The operator is DEFE Przemysław Drązewski. Contact: tracespotting@pm.me. tracespotting and śladmap let you explore and create place-based stories, collections, maps and live updates. Both domains share accounts and content.
Access and accounts
You can read public content without an account. Register by email and password or Google to save your own material. Protect your sign-in details and report suspected account compromise. Do not impersonate others or use someone else’s account.
You need a current browser and internet access. Sign-in requires cookies. Location and notifications may require permission in your device settings. Some features depend on external services.
The account agreement runs from registration until account closure. Follow these terms and respect others’ rights. Users without full legal capacity should involve their legal representative where required by law. You can save or print these terms from your browser.
Content and copyright
Only contribute material you have the rights to use, including text, images, recordings, likenesses and location information. Provide attribution, sources and licences where required. A publicly accessible file is not automatically free to republish. Do not post unlawful content, invade privacy, infringe rights, threaten others, spam or facilitate fraud.
You retain rights to your work. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, copy, adapt for display and share it according to your chosen features and settings. This includes thumbnails, backups and the work our providers need to operate the service. The licence lasts while the material is shared and for necessary backup retention after deletion. Selling it or posting it on external social media requires separate authority. Other authors’ materials remain subject to their own licences.
Do not publish others’ personal information without authority. Public content can be indexed and copied. Image files have public URLs independently of story visibility. Consider the safety of people whose locations or movements you disclose. Visibility settings do not replace their permission.
Reports and moderation
Report unlawful content or rights infringements to tracespotting@pm.me. Include the exact content URL, explanation and grounds, contact details and a good-faith statement that the information is accurate. Avoid unnecessary sensitive information.
We assess reports and ask for more information when needed. Any restriction on content or an account is proportionate to the issue. We explain our decision, subject to legal exceptions. If you disagree, email tracespotting@pm.me with your reasons. We respond to ordinary complaints and reconsideration requests within 14 days and handle urgent risks without undue delay. You retain all applicable legal remedies.
Deletion, complaints and changes
You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time by emailing tracespotting@pm.me. Identify your account without sending your password. The privacy policy explains deletion of data, content and files. Deletion does not automatically remove copies made by other recipients.
Send service complaints to tracespotting@pm.me with a description and contact information. We respond by email within 14 days. This does not restrict consumer rights or other rights that cannot be excluded by agreement.
These terms may change because of service features, security or the law. We give at least 14 days’ notice through the service or email of changes affecting accounts, unless the law or an immediate security threat requires faster action. You may close your account before changes take effect. New terms do not apply retroactively.
Safety, responsibility and applicable law
Stories and maps are informational and may contain errors. Check access and safety before visiting. The order of places is not safe travel guidance. Respect access restrictions and private property. The service and external providers may be temporarily unavailable.
These terms do not exclude rights or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded, including consumer rights. Applicable law governs matters not addressed here; these terms do not impose exclusive court jurisdiction contrary to that law. Personal data processing is described in the separate privacy policy.
